FOUNDER - SHAWN RAPOPORT
PROFILE
A company is only as strong as its executive leadership. Shawn Rapoport is the founder of Rap Fight Management. His passion for martial arts dates back to 1987, when he started training under Tiger Schulmann. Today, he has over 30 years' experience training and teaching martial arts in the organization. He has competed in the NY Golden Gloves Boxing, Muay Thai kickboxing, numerous grappling tournaments, & MMA.
Shawn has taught many celebrities' children, most notably those of Russell Simmons, Rev Run, James Gandolfini, Susan Sarandon & Tim Robbins, Julianne Moore, Ricki Lake, Connie Nielson, and currently Wyclef Jean. He has also shared his knowledge and skill by conducting workshops throughout the organization: “Boxing Skills & Drills”, “Effective Kicking for the Street”, and numerous rape prevention & bully prevention seminars for the community. Shawn mentored Mike Trizano, winner of "The Ultimate Fighter" season 27 and current professional fighter in the UFC, through his early career, setting him on the path to success.
Shawn holds a BBA in Business Marketing from Georgia Southern University. He has been featured on television segments such as NBC's Wednesday's Child and CBS's David Letterman Show, among others.
He is currently a 5th degree master instructor in Tiger Schulmann’s and the head instructor and owner of the Ramsey and Paramus, NJ locations of Tiger Schulmann’s.
